Once completed, it extends your SMSTS certification for another five years.

Your SMSTS certificate is valid for five years. To renew it, you must attend an SMSTS Refresher Course before your certificate expires. If it expires, CITB regulations require you to retake the full SMSTS course instead of the two day refresher.

How Long Is the SMSTS Refresher Course

The SMSTS Refresher Course lasts for two days. It can be delivered in a classroom at one of our venues or remotely as a live instructor led online course.

Both formats include presentations, group work, case studies and legal updates. Attendance on both days is compulsory to receive certification.
