A Temporary Works Supervisor will usually be appointed on larger sites or if they are working with a coordinator who has the responsibility for several sites at once. The supervisor will have responsibility and focus on their particular temporary works.
While there is no legal requirement to have a Temporary Works Coordinator or supervisor on site, it is required that the those in control of a project are ensuring the work is carried out in a way that does not cause risk or harm to the workers or members of the public.
