Duration: 2 days. The Streetworks refresher course can be taken up to a year prior to and five years after the expiry date of the original NRSW card. Once the expiry date has been reached, Supervisors will not be qualified to undertake their work until they take the reassessment NRSWA course. A Streetworks supervisor does not undertake any physical works and works to plan, monitor and supervise the works and the operatives.

Course overview

This course has the following units:

LA – Location & avoidance of underground apparatus
O1 – Signing, lighting and guarding
O2 – Excavation in the highway
O3 – Reinstatement & compaction of backfill materials
O4 – Reinstatement of sub base & road in non bituminous materials
O5 – Reinstatement of cold-lay bituminous materials
O6 – Reinstatement of hot lay bituminous materials
O7 – Reinstatement of concrete slabs
O8 – Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footway

Assessment

The delegate will be assessed through a series of open book and multiple-choice exams answered online.

Certificate

Following successful completion, a CABWI certificate will be issued and an SWQR card can be applied for both lasting 5 years.
