Course overview
Installing and maintaining cones, barriers, road signs and traffic lights, traffic and pedestrian management, sequencing during installation and the final removal.
- Creating a site plan for a job site covering the Safety at Street Works and Road Works Code of Practice.
- Making decisions based on the plan and formulating recommendations for remedial actions
- Hands-on experience of the installation and removal of SLG components
- Assessing operative working practices and detailing specifications of their work.
Assessment
Practical tests and a short exam.
Card
Following successful completion, a CABWI certificate will be issued and an SWQR card can be applied for both lasting 5 years.

All Target Zero EUSR training and assessment is carried out by one of our approved, accredited EUSR partners. Please remember to bring photographic ID (passport or driving licence).
