CSCS cards are issued by the Construction Skills Certification Scheme as proof that you have the relevant qualifications and training for your role. CSCS cards work towards building better standards and improve health and safety on UK construction sites.
The majority of principal contractors and major building companies will require a CSCS card and this will increase, although at present it is not mandatory for you to have a CSCS card. Cards will be checked against the CSCS database to ensure they are valid.
How to Get a CSCS Card

For most CSCS cards, other than a green card, you will need to undertake an NVQ, which we offer from level 2 through to level 7.
How Do I Renew A CSCS Card?
Once you have a CSCS card, it is valid for 5 years. Trainee cards however will only be valid for 1 to 3 years. You will need to renew your card prior to the expiry date to avoid complications.
