Traditional NPORS Operator Card
Valid for 5 years. Issued after successful NPORS training and assessment. Does not carry the CSCS logo and is widely accepted across warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, retail and non-construction sites. No CITB HS&E test required. No NVQ requirement. For operators working outside construction, this is typically the appropriate card route.
Red Trained Operator Card (CSCS Logo)
Valid for 2 years. Issued after passing NPORS training and assessment plus a valid CITB HS&E touch screen test. During the 2-year period, the operator must complete the relevant Level 2 NVQ in Plant Operations (Transporting Loads) to progress to the Blue Competent Operator card.
